Good morning! Please remember that I am unavailable on Sundays except for a small window of time in the AM. This is typically around 8am-10am. I apologize for the delay in the schedule. I will have it done sometime early Sunday. Mothers day prep has been tiring.  There should be no work to be done in floral today except for a quick check to make sure it's clean and tidy. Check on floral displays and reorganize if necessary to improve the overall look of the store display. This would be great work to be done earlier on in the morning when it is still raining.  -There is a chance of thunder and lighting. If we hear thunder and lighting, please do not work outside. Work in your greenhouse, transition room, or do the floral work.  In garden, we should be focusing on making the department look it's best. Many stores may have product still on racks. Please work from table to table to straighten up product, prune, deadhead, condense and reorganize, and fill out matching product ...

It’s 8:15pm and I haven’t stopped working yet today. If you are exhausted, don’t worry - so am I. We can be tired together. :)  Floral - Floral delivery in for Saturday. Two racks per store. ASN has been sent via email. Stores have been prepped that space will likely be needed for today. I will be sending an email in a moment to have stores try to prep displays if possible, but you will likely need to inform the store that you are there so they can assist and know to get started. Most of the product that you are getting in for Saturday can go onto tables for Mother’s Day or go onto your display. I would prioritize Lavender, Azaleas, African Violets, and Orchids for your large displays. Lavender, Azaleas, and Orchids for sure. Then use the newly opened space to put out some of the smaller product. You may keep backstock again of course. Please do your best to stick to schedules and help your fellow teammates by showing up around expected times via schedule. Now is the time where we need to be on our game. We should be creating strong visual displays while using our color blocking, prime location / end cap space for best quality/highest priced product like hanging baskets and patio planters, making sure product is watered well and evenly.  In floral- no floral work should  be needed for Friday. Some of you may need to finish tidying up a few things tomorrow. Please make sure to get these into shape first and do it quickly.  Good evening! Or maybe morning when you read this??  My expectation going forward is for every merchandiser to check this blog everyday before starting their work. If you would like to get to your store, clock in, and then read it over, great. If you want to be more prepared and read it before you get to work, also great. I will do my best to get it updated every day for you before the typical start time. I promise, I will probably be too busy somedays. If you feel unsure about what needs to be done on those days, please do not hesitate to call me. We are in the busiest two weeks of the year, and we will be stretched thin throughout that time.  Hey everyone! This is going to be a work in progress as I try to figure out how it works for us. One thing that I have noticed in my day-to-day work is that direct assistance makes you feel more prepared for your day. I want to make sure that everyone is getting that from me but I am only one person.  My plan is to update this most days to make sure that you can access it in the AM and get a general idea of what the deal for the day is.
