Sunday, 5/1/2022 Plans
Good morning! Please remember that I am unavailable on Sundays except for a small window of time in the AM. This is typically around 8am-10am. I apologize for the delay in the schedule. I will have it done sometime early Sunday. Mothers day prep has been tiring.
There should be no work to be done in floral today except for a quick check to make sure it's clean and tidy. Check on floral displays and reorganize if necessary to improve the overall look of the store display. This would be great work to be done earlier on in the morning when it is still raining.
-There is a chance of thunder and lighting. If we hear thunder and lighting, please do not work outside. Work in your greenhouse, transition room, or do the floral work.
In garden, we should be focusing on making the department look it's best. Many stores may have product still on racks. Please work from table to table to straighten up product, prune, deadhead, condense and reorganize, and fill out matching product onto displays. Some tables may need rearranged if that would look best. Remember to follow the general guide lines
-create appealing entry ways and end caps. This should be a main focus for us. Tables are important, but end caps are a "look at this item" try to make them look good, sticking to one UPC whenever possible and coloring blocking
-watered product sells. Don't rely on the rain to do everything. Check it all, some product may have not gotten hit by the rain. Do your weight tests with your hanging baskets. If you need to water hanging baskets, make sure to bring them down low so you can evenly water over the top. This helps prevent root rot, bald spots, and other cosmetic issues that encourage higher toss rates.
- keep the like product together. This makes it easy to stay on top of your signing. I'm noticing at some stores the need to improve on consistently moving our signage with the product so that we don't lose signs.
- all product may come out of the greenhouse now UNLESS it is full shade product- impatients, begonias, 8pk flats marked as shade. Make a habit of checking your tags on every item until you become more familiar.
Please check by your main outdoor register for any notes from the store/team leads. Canal Winchester- this is a normal occurrence for you. Please make a habit of doing this.
Sorry for the novel today. I am going to attempt to stay mostly disconnected tomorrow to spend time with my family. It's even a busy week, and next week is even busier. 😴
