Weekend plans! 7/1-7/4

Hello everyone! We are going into the holiday weekend, and I would like to post a general overview to set expectations. There will be no floral delivery until Tuesday the 5th, when floral will be delivered. I do not have official word yet on when garden delivery will be next week, but I am assuming we should continue to plan for Wednesday. I have scheduled for Wednesday deliveries at the moment, but I will update those who need updated when I hear more.

Friday - please focus on getting garden centers set for the holiday weekend. We will likely see increase in walk throughs just due to people have the day off, but I would not expect to see a large customer base overall. July 4th is not a big flower holiday. I want to remind everyone that the company is calling on us to make sure we are taking the time to get rid of the product isn't fresh. Be real, and don't hold on to things that are obviously not looking great. Let's save the space and hassle for the product that still look good and have an opportunity to sell. Make sure to do a good watering, but also remember to do your weight checks. We do have a chance of rain this weekend and we don't want to water just to fill time. Check each item as you go, lifting from underneath for hanging baskets and tipping over slightly or lifting for smaller planters/trays/etc.

Saturday & Sunday - nothing specific to focus on other then please do not allow the product to go without being watered during this time. We need to consider, even with rain, that some items may not get hit or may not get hit well enough to manage all of the watering. We should be taking the time to continue to check, every day. When we are completed with watering, we should be taking the time to make sure that our items are cleaned up, condensed, and reorganized. We want to start working to spread out product and turn flats horizonal where possible. Take the time to look over your end caps - what is on those? Our end caps should not be flat product unless we have already discussed it. We should be seeing sunflowers, SoCal, heat lovers, wave medleys, basically all of the newest product on our front tables and end caps, according to sun and shade of course. Do not forget to check on your front displays (by grocery or GM doors) and also check on smaller potted items before the end of the day - depending on the weather, they may have already dried up and need hit again. Larger items like planters and hanging baskets should not need this.

Monday - only a few specific people are working on Monday. The company has restricted budgeted hours to 4 hours per store for July 4th. Please take this time to do your watering and anything that is needed. Please do not go over 4 hours unless absolutely necessary to complete watering or a specific mess. If you do have to go over, please give me a heads up and a reason as to why.

If you have any Chronotek errors over the weekend - send me a message so I can get it fixed up on Sunday evening. I hope everyone enjoys their holiday!!
