Saturday 5/7 plans

Floral work - what you have now is all you've got! Work out remaining backstock to the floor by noon and let me KNOW ASAP when all backstock has been put out in the floral department. You should be condensing your fresh cuts, filling your cooler up, and getting everything else out onto tables. Including vases, bouquets, and any remaining bulbs, lillies, mums, etc. Roses do not need to be displayed in the cooler today. Utilize checkout lanes for your fresh cuts, keep potted to your main display, and leave extra buckets and vases in floral. Please do not display vases on your black tier rack displays, it's a recipe for disaster. I expect everyone to be condensing, check EVERYTHING for watering - I do not want anything to go dry over the weekend. Work with store management to get additional space if needed.

Garden work
Garden delivery today, but a smaller one for most stores.
Canal 8 racks
Grove city 3 racks
Lancaster 3 racks
Gahanna 2 racks
Reynoldsburg 3 racks

Today - do not leave early. You do not have a good reason to. Stores need heavy customer service today, so if you have run out of work - find some more. We should be
- making sure everything is watered - do not overwater due to boredom
- condense, condense, condense. Make space so we can get product off rack. Reorganize, and stack up product. Please do not have product in places that are not accessible.
- fill every available end cap with a sale item and check every sale item has a sale sign on it or near it. We should be pushing this sale heavy this weekend, it's our best chance of selling some of the product.
- if it doesn't have a sale sign, have more made. Find meijer management, give them the upcs and ask for some additional sale signage. They can and will help you. (Check previous posts for sale items)
-work out remaining carts whenever possible, and don't forget to send me your empty cart count.
- check on inside floral to see if merchandiser needs help or if displays need condensing, cleaning, etc. Probably does
- clean. Clean the tables of excess dirt, clean up the floors around your displays, even outside.
- if an end cap has mostly sold through, re organize it and fill, or switch it to something new to sell and move other product elsewhere. Keep expensive product in the front where everyone can see it! Don't be afraid to have some shade product up front and center on a rack so that more may see it.
-listen to meijer management. Most of them know what they are doing. If they ask for assistance ein Garden center tasks that are reasonable, help them. If they need assistance in floral, help them.
-call me if you need me!! I am in Canal in the morning, Gahanna in the afternoon currently. If you have a major concern at your store, let me know.
