Monday 5/30 Memorial Day Plans (Tuesday also)

I wrote this for yesterday and apparently never posted it. Happy Memorial day! 

No floral delivieres today due to the holiday. Delivieres are tomorrow, Tuesday May 31st. 

These delivieres are all delivered, around 3 pallets per store I believe. Asns were sent via email. 

No garden delivieres today (Tuesday) 

SUPER HOT TODAY. PLEASE FOCUS ON WATERING FIRST 

Due to the late start of the garden weather, we are down a bit for the year overall. This weekend and holiday has been a big push to try to make up what we lost. The other major factor of this is the hanging basket sale. We do a similar sale every year. After the initial sale period, these hanging baskets don't sell quite as great. We need to focus on keeping promotion displays full, have plenty of signage for the items, and keep product at top quality to allow for the sales. 

To do this keep to your basics - 

Come in, bring racks to the front. 

Uncover any racks with plastic 

Check for watering needs. It is getting hotter, and Monday is an especially hot day. Please take the time to get some sunscreen on you, drink plenty of water - and remember...if you are hot... so are the plants 😂...so water them. Well. 

Water them evenly, bringing the hose head up and under the plant into the soil rather than just watering the top. Obviously, this isn't possible with every variety but we should be making up for that by watering a bit heavier and checking our progress as we go. 

Figure out your displays- front to back. Keep assigned items in their assigned places, fill up restock displays and decide if any rearranging is needed for new product. Something that might have fit well in that spot last week may not feel well in that spot for this week.
